Blast from the Past or Setting the Bar Way too High

April 8, 2006

I dug out the sweater I knit for my DH (I think knoggers mean dear husband by this abbrev, but in my case it’s departed husband). Anyhoo, I admit to being somewhat impressed with my twenty-three year old self (yikes, nineteen years ago!) for knitting this baby over the Christmas holidays of 1987. Sadly for DH, it was a one-of-a-kind gift, and any such offering at this point would be way more than a day late and a dollar short. Maybe I should felt it and make a purse or a cat bed. Better than leaving it for moth food. And chatting about my college knitting with my dear mommy today, she very kindly encouraged me by saying I had knit well at that point. She’s neat. I’m glad she thinks I’m neat too.

Hi Mom, thanks for nudging me. I hope to be half as awesome as you.
